Quick Setup Guide (Butt)

Download Butt (broadcast using this tool) from danielnoethen.de/butt — it's free and works on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Open Butt → Settings → Add a new server. Select Icecast as the type.

Enter the host, port, mount point, and your personal stream password provided by PAN admin.

Set your audio source (DJ mixer, soundcard, or virtual cable) under the audio settings tab.

Hit the Play button in Butt to go live. The PAN hub will detect your stream automatically and update the now-playing display.

Buffer Size

Lower = less latency but more CPU. 256 recommended for streaming.

Echo Cancellation

Removes echo from speakers picked up by mic. Disable if using headphones.

Noise Suppression

Reduces background noise from your environment.

Auto Gain Control

Automatically adjusts mic input level. Disable for manual control.

Mono Mix

Mix stereo input to mono for broadcast. Recommended for radio.

USB Device Setup Guide

USB Mic / Interface

1. Plug in USB device
2. Wait for OS to install drivers
3. Click Scan Devices above
4. Select your device from the list
5. Click Test Mic to verify signal

DJ Mixer / Audio Interface

1. Connect mixer via USB
2. Set mixer as default audio out in OS
3. Scan devices and select mixer input
4. Use Line In source in studio
5. Set crossfader to balance mic + music

⚠ Browser limitation: Chrome and Edge give the best USB device support. Firefox may not detect all USB audio devices. If your device is not showing up, try a different browser or check OS audio settings.
